Yard of the Month

The Master Gardeners have begun recognizing attractive yards in Howard County that are maintained by the owners themselves. We are selecting a different yard each month to draw attention to those in our community who work to establish and maintain beautiful or unusual yards. Our Yard of the Month sign will be displayed in each yard for a month. The home and homeowners will be recognized in the Big Spring Herald.

September 2007	Our September selection did not make it into the Big Spring Herald during the month of September, so we are moving the September yard into October.

	Ms. Zant writes: "Thank you for the recognition last month. I am honored that you selected my yard. Hard work, but mostly joy, is felt when I work in the outdoors. God gave us plenty of water this summer to add to the beauty of our environment."
